Yes, the TP got great reviews in the past. Today it wouldn't measure up to some of the other equipment in the market.
A Touch and a good DAC will give basically the same functionality(better in some cases) and better sound in some cases. For about the same money. Again, the hi-end community is into a whole slew of DACs and Music server devices which sound better than the TP (sorry, it's true). If you read the hi-end forums and read present reviews, the TP isn't even in the conversation. We'll see if Logitech decides to compete in that rarefied air. I bet they don't.
