I'm not a fan of the Akurate DS (although I quite like the Klimax DS, despite its extreme expense).
Personally, I've found that the contribution to my enjoyment of a system on a component by component basis is roughly: Transport: <5% DAC: <10% The rest of the system >85% -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
