I wasn't talking about a Transporter replacement (even though this
thread is about the SE), I was talking about what unit I would like to
see next. Which is why it doesn't need a display or IR remote. But
there is nothing that says it can't be modular and have a cable to a
panel that is for display, IR receiver, and some input interface. My
thoughts are what would be neat to have available for high end and/or
large multi-room Squeezebox systems. I do agree that it would need to
have a 192/24 native ability to reach more Audiophiles.

As for your WiFi issues, when I tap or slide volume up on my iPeng or
Controllers, the volume goes up immediately! Are you referring to using
WiFi to change the volume of a Squeezebox connected to MySB.com? That is
completely dependent on ones ISP and route to the MySB.com Server. If
you are using a local server and seeing volume lag with WiFI, you have
a network issue.
