I would imagine that the NAD Receiver doesn't have the control on the Nautilus drivers. I have a pair of the Nautilus 805s and they need a good quality power amp to drive them well and control the drivers. I use SimAudio Moon amplification. I was told by someone from B&W that the main changes through the 800 Series range has been to make them easier to drive, as well as easier/cheaper to manufacture. Then they fitted the Diamond Tweeter!
