No, many have pointed out how it *is* possible that there could be a
difference (and I agree). Things such as electrical noise/interference
caused by the equipment doing the transmission of the bits, etc. But in
my science training, we were taught to always look for (and control for)
the simple explanations first.  The simple explanation here is demand
effects from knowing what one is listening to. But these are easily
controlled for with a double-blind test with, say, 20 trials. I think
this is where we differ rather than on the possibility of things in the
chain causing audible differences between compressed lossless files vs
uncompressed lossless files.
