Yes the timing difference that last for 2 seconds will affect both channels. Do you think that this jump in timing at the start of this 2 seconds happens instantaneously i.e it has no timing - it is instant? Do you really want to maintain that? Do you want to similarly maintain that the fall back from 8ppm timing issue to normal happens in an instant?
