And I told you personal and anecdotal experience, which in the world of
audiophiles is better than hard scientific evidence.

All kidding aside - because this type of behavior in a computer is the
result of conflicts between the various internal processes going on
within the computer or the result of a faulty USB port and NOT because
the USB protocol is broken. If the computer and the USB port are both
working properly than these kinds of issues will not arise and even
non-asynchronous USB will sound just fine, as in the will be NO audible
artifacts, e.g. audible jitter.
