As you wrote, I am switching from CVS to GIT locally.
I have ever received "where is aufs files? I could not find anything on
sourceforge." questions, and I thought people doesn't like the release
method I took, eg. CVS on SF.
I am still wondering where and how to manage new aufs2 source
files. Currently I am choosing,
- manage them on my local desktop (by GIT)
- release them via the release system on SF

And thank you for your offer. When the time has come, I will search the
free public GIT server. Of course, you will be the first candidate.
But I may try kernel.org.
