Anti virus software is just one method. There are plenty more things you can do to protect yourself from these email viruses. Number one: Don't open attachments unless you're *certain* they're OK. Number two: Don't use a Microsoft email program. (In some cases, it will open attachments without asking you.) The work involved in switching to another email program is less than the work involved in keeping patches uptodate on Outlook *and* virus software. I use and recommend Eudora, http://www.eudora.com but there are plenty of others. If you're not using Outlook, suddenly you're not as vulnerable to these things. > ..
