So yet again we are being asked to give up functionality and reduce ourselves to the lowest common denominator by the ignorant masses. How 'bout this for and idea? Why don't you demand that your PC software vendor (who happens to be the richest company in the world!) provide you with a product that is fit for purpose!
Why do I sound so annoyed? Because it's precisely this behaviour by computer consumers that has led to the current situation were by the rest of us in the computer industry waste hours and days of our time not to mention countless dollars working around deliberate deficiencies in said vendors product while watching them get richer and richer delivering a defunct product because you consumers are too gutless to stand up for your rights and switch to a better product. Instead you wimp out and expect the rest of us in the industry to compromise on functionality so that you don't have to get off your lazy butt and change to a better product. "But I *have* to use product xyz because off <insert gutless wimp out reason here>" Bulls..t, you're just to lazy to stand up and demand that data storage and exchange standards should be public domain, instead you find it easier to just be screwed over because the other choice requires you to get off your backside and do something for your-self. So either get with the program and dump that loser product and stop wasting your time and money dealing with the problem and stop asking "us" in the computer industry to develop solutions to the dysfunctional crap served up by this monopolistic and downright moralary bankrupt company! I don't spend a cent on virus software, I have never had a virus on my computer (and I've been sent dozens) and don't even care if you send me one. And if you don't believe feel free to send me your latest and greatest and I'll happily ditch it into the bit bucket! Huh! Well it's real easy, select a e-mail client that doesn't automatically run attachments, never run/double click or whatever the attachment in the e-mail client. If you aren't expecting the attachment just delete it. (Those xmas greetings are totaly lame, you really don't need to see it). If you need the attachment then *alway* save it to disk and then only open it as a non- privlidged user who's worse case permission is to only delete only their own directory! Oh that's right you all use losedoze who's idea of security is to prompt you for a username and if the user doesn't exist it just creates an account with access to the entire computer!!!? Give me a break! Now can all you losedoze users take this topic off to some pathetic M$ sponsored mailing list and leave the rest of us to get on with soaring? rgds Pete P.S I'll take my pills now doctor, yes I fine, fine really I fine I just had to get that off my chest! -- * You are subscribed to the aus-soaring mailing list. * To Unsubscribe: send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] * with "unsubscribe aus-soaring" in the body of the message * or with "help" in the body of the message for more information.
