Pete, I agree that all of those steps are excellent strategies over and above anti-virus software. I and others on this list would be "radical" enough even to suggest that the whole world change their operating system to Linux. But, if they did, the virus writers would turn more attention to Linux vulnerabilities (as they have started to do). I think we all know that this list and most others in the world will continue to be predominantly read by Windows email clients running on Windows operation sytems.
Simon's voluteer efforts on this list are very much appreciated and, if he does not have access to the appropriate code, I would be delighted to source it for him. The issue is, why play into the hands of the virus writers and allow attachments to be distributed by email forums when it is so easy to prevent?
