Hi Nigel,
What physical format are you intending to use for the "AusFLARM" ?
Will it be a small box to sit on the top of the instrument panel, or
will it require to be fitted in a hole in the panel ?
In case it matters, my preference would be for the external box, as
then a club could initiall buy a limited number of units and lend them
to pilots who were doing cross country flights on a particular day,
rather than having a unit fitted to every club glider.
I realise that it would be best to have even local - flight gliders
equipped, but as an introdutory measure, a portable solution would
help.
Just my 2c worth...
