Phil is a good operator. The article is mostly correct but apparently miss-quotes him in some parts? Phil will tell you that the stall can be produced using other forces also. I hear his advanced techniques course is a great time flying and drinking. He has an L39, Harvard, Chipmunk etc. for a blast also.

PANIC As the ground comes up closer the natural reaction of some people is to want to pull the stick back to get away from the thing that could hurt them THE GROUND. The position will depend on the C > of G position but this could be dialled in after doing that calculation. The trim lever does this function however the pilots adjusts it as he sees fit !!!!!! Wheels up warning alarms are common, however our safety could be much more enhanced if we had some kind of 'Stick too far back warning' once we are at circuit height.
