So you should have asked him why they were still happy to have you fly in Australia as he'd just indicated he couldn't be sure you were properly trained. Which of course applies to ALL Australian glider pilots and instructors.

Other airspace users and third parties might reasonably ask why CASA allows people it can't be sure are properly trained, to fly as pilots in command in Australian airspace.

Might be interesting for CASA if there's an accident where innocent third parties are killed or injured. And for the pilot involved if a lawyer finds this out.

Has this farce in sport aviation in Australia gone on for long enough, yet?
