It's all personal preference. If you're a competition or high performance
nut - then you'll paint them on for better performance. Or if you just want
to go flying, and potentially sell off your glider semi-soon, then just slap
some stickers on the glider.

note, plus AN84, I can't find the bit about paint versus stickers?!
(actually stickers sound great if underwing markings are not required!)
