Historically, yes. There have been some ingenious competition cheats.
What's absurd here is a "secure" system with a gaping hole in it and
officialdom treating this as a yawn while energetically pursuing the
rest of the "security".
Despite the public presence of the way the security features are
required to work the IGC FR Chairman, or whatever he's called now,
got his knickers in a twist over my mention of one of the EW
Microrecorder security features, on this list.
