I think a forgery would be pretty easy to spot - a true glider's data plot
is erratic, but predictably so.
The person who programmed the RF simulator would have to be able to
perfectly model a glider's position and altitude changes in a "thermal" ,
model the wind correctly and be highly detailed overall otherwise a forgery
would be easy to spot (especially if someone knew the conditions of the
day).

And if found, that person would never be allowed to launch in a competition
ever again, nor be able to log a record. Possibly not be welcome in any
club. You'd think with all the effort that would go into creating a valid
and undetectable plot, you could have used the money and time to get in your
glider and practice a little....
