I am up for it. I have a web server & can do some php & database stuff. Not
much artistic talent so may have a friend design me something.

I too liked browsing/ dreaming while reading the first pages in the back of the
old mag.

Reading the articles there were a few typos or left out words & our club
apparently has 'grass and sane strips'.

But I LOVE the full colour pictures and stories. This is really looks like a
Gliding magazine.

Being only new to Gliding and seeing and hearing about membership issues my two
bobs worth is the if Gliding isn't in people's faces how do we expect it to
flourish. I look at magazines on flying while in the newsagency and think if I
saw one about Gliding I might have joined Gliding earlier.

I think it can still be a form of communication for the GFA members and that
this will give a public mag a personalised flavour. Having it on the shelves
could then act as a marketing tool providing exposure and maybe in time
covering the cost of the mag.

We are taking a glider (can only put one wing on in the space we have) & the
simulator to the Bundaberg Air Show next month to try and keep a presence out
there.

We are also in communications with the local Uni where they are running
Aviation courses trying to get some flying time in as part of the curriculum. I
think they are close and this gives us the opportunity to get Gliding more
infront of younger people.

As I think do other clubs we also have the local Air-Force Cadets out for a
weekend of flights. I have discussed with other younger glider pilots trying to
do a presentation to schools too... (Jarrod, where are you?)

Anyways I recon it's all about getting Gliding in front of people and showing
them how easily accessable it is.

Kindest Regards
Grant
