It makes a noticeable difference for configuration runs. And CRUX-Linux added dash to its core to use it for (almost) all the scripts (on top of bash which has "always" been there), and it made a large difference too, it was years ago, i cannot give numbers. ... |While unnecessarily wasting resources is never a good idea, these |"my shell is faster than yorus" wars are simply plain stupidity. It made a very large difference once someone implemented an ELF dependency resolver in C, i think it was, to replace the shell/tools based one. This was many factors by then. |No-one (sane) cares.
