Thanks. I wanted to do the capture with Gimp, but I only have it on Linux and needed to do a Win capture to make sure it matches the others in the chapter.

You should use enough resolution or otherwise the substitution might have lower quality. I thought my 32- bit BMP shots appeared better than the 24- bit PNGs, but again, that was my perception. I use SnagIt 7-- probably the industry standard for screen captures. If do not have any software, try a free evaluation of SnagIt 8 (assuming you're using XP). Also you can use the open- source GIMP for graphics too, but you don't need it. Gary Schnabl
