Hello, all. I'm back home, but may take awhile to catch up with email and other stuff. Yes, I had a great break, although I did do some work. :-)

Regarding Scott's questions about graphics in the Master Documents chapter:

All the graphics are embedded in the .odt file. Scott, if you can't see them, something weird is going on. I have no idea what it might be.

I do screen captures from Windows using the PrintScreen key on my keyboard, paste into Paint, save as .BMP. Others have mentioned more specialised tools for this purpose, and I know that a variety of tools are used by different people.

BTW, OOo converts .BMP graphics to .PNG internally, but it keeps .JPG files as is. I don't recall what if anything it does with other graphic formats.

Scott, the best thing to do with replacement screen captures (or any other graphics) is to insert (embed) them into the file where they should go (after deleting the old one from the file). See http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide2/resources/howto_figures/document_view for some instructions on inserting a new graphic. I have not written anything specifically on updating them.

Gary and Dick, thanks for answering Scott's questions in my absence. I think between the 3 of us, we should have covered them. If not, please keep asking, Scott!
