I just discovered that one of the choices of printer in OOo on my
Ubuntu machine is "PDF" -- which, upon testing, actually produced a
PostScript (.ps) file, which is what I wanted. Bloody confusing
terminology!
I hadn't paid much attention to this before, and didn't realise that a
"PDF" printer would do the job -- until I got thinking about Gary's
mention of "Adobe PDF" as a printer driver, something which I had
forgotten about until this discussion today.
Thanks, Sak, for the instructions about installing specialised
drivers. I'll go through them carefully a bit later.
