If you wish to try away3dlite again, you may want to try some of the Collada
animation fixes I posted a while back to see if they rectify the problem:

If your exported skeleton names and ids don't match:

If you have more than one controller per bone:
http://code.google.com/p/away3d/issues/detail?id=69

No guarantees of course, but it may help if you are hitting the same
problems with Collada skinning that I did.
