I had trouble when I tried to install ColladaMaya, since I have Maya 2010
installed as well. The installer told me that I could manually copy the plugin
files, but I didn't understand how that might have worked, so I found
OpenCollada, which is working great for me now, once I realized I needed to
tell it to triangulate the mesh.
I'm on Windows 7, so obviously I had a different installer. Do you think that
the tar.gz file they have posted might work?

Yeah, funny thing, using that installer I go through a setup page
where I pick the hard drive to install to, and then on the next page
i'm supposed to click "install" but install is grayed out, and
unclickable. I have no idea why, maybe it's because i have snow
leopard or maya 2010
