oh wow I didn't realize you did that demo! I was reading your source when i was working on this demo and I used your camera method in mine :D
I thought that in your example you were adding the viewport to stage and then making it invisible and then drawing it into two bitmap canvases. I tried to do this while applying some other hype effects and it seemed to make everything run slower than just having the viewport be the only thing on stage.
