i just tried your model, no problems at all.
i do not have locks or anything...
since it reacts with mouse wheel, may be something goes wrong there...
if you move the slider on the interface, does it zoom properly?
do you have a "regular" mouse? Have you applied special prefs to it?
Not to do as Steve jobs saying you hold is bad tho :))
just try figure out what goes wrong as i cannot reporduce any of this.

the white is different, its "normal"!
because your obj doesn't have an mtl file saying it must apply texture to the 
box.
so Prefab applies default maps, which are white. so generally, if you have 
white is either by loading no texture information
or sources are not where the url says in the file.
