Tried with PNG material and... I get transparency but interaction is gone =\
I tried mouseOver/mouseOut/rollOver/rollOut

While I don't quite understand why you're getting that weird shape
when you turn owncanvas to true, you could just apply png image to the
planes that is full alpha, or one pixel of colour if all alpha isn't
permitted.

Click events occur no matter what alpha the plane is set to. To stop this
visible = false or removeChild etc.

If you watch the previous posts I did and I got that horrible result I

  Hi Fabrice,
thanks for your advice but still my problem is this:
I set the alpha value to my planes but I get no modifications, I still
clearly see them on my scene and I don't know how to change that =\

usually setting an alpha of 0.01 is invible to eye, yet interraction

I want a plane to be completely transparent without removing the
possibility to interact with it (don't worry, the visual about where this
plane is, is given by other elements)

1. If I want a material with parts semi transparent and parts with no
transparency I use png materials.
  2. plane.addOnMouseDown will still work when with owncanvas alphad out
materials.

  3. If you want only parts of the material to be interactive use
moviematerial and handle the event Listeners for the mouse the usual way
through the movieclip which is used for your moviematerial.

Anyone?

Hi everyone,
I wanted to make some parts (visually based on the texture) of a cube
to be interactive.
When I have to do such thing in 2D with Flash I usually make a
MovieClip of the shape I want, add it on the stage with an instance,
put it's alpha to 0 and then add all the eventListeners I want.
Now I wanted to do the same thing with Away3D. I tried with
primitives.Plane (shape which fits perfectly to my needs).
But I immediatly encountered a problem: I don't manage to make it
transparent.
Here is my code:http://pastebin.com/2RAwhVXn
If I add a
ownCanvas = true;
I get this horrific result:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4064417/board.JPG
without it I get simply this:

Anyone knows why this happens and how to fix it?
Another question, will I be able to add mouse interaction once I
manage to make the plane totally transparent?
