The groom is Antonio Xavier Madruga (dob 09 November 1873). His father was
Antonio Xavier Madruga (dob 07 November 1839; his mother was Maria
Rosario Vieira Coracao Jesus (dob 14 May 1849). The bride was Ana
Amor Divino (dob 22 August 1883) daughter of
Joao Goulart, Junior (dob 10 March 1851) and Maria Conceicao (Machado)
(dob 23 July 1850), All of the above were born in Lajes do Pico.
The marriage itself took place on 23 February 1903 in Lajes do Pico at
Santa Trindade.
Let me know if you need grandparents of bride and/or groom because I
have that information also.

I am researching my mother's paternal line (Madruga) from Freguesia of
Lajes do Pico on the island of Pico. My question is, since I was not
brought up Roman Catholic, would there be any microfilm record
anywhere on the reading or posting of the banns? The church was
Santa Trindade. To obtain the record, if there is in fact public
access, would Joao Ventura or anybody else be able to help me? Does
anyone in the group have any suggestions?
