Hello Carol Silva Warnock, It appears that we are related through Ana Amor Divino Goulart Madruga. She was a second cousin once removed from my grandfather's paternal grandmother, Maria Joaquina Conceicao (b. 7 Oct 1820) in Lajes, Pico. She married Francisco Machado Soares (b. 4 Apr 1819) in Lajes. They were also married in Lajes at the Most Holy Trinity on 23 Nov 1843. Vivian Silva Chris is also related to me. Shirley-- The groom is Antonio Xavier Madruga (dob 09 November 1873). His father was Antonio Xavier Madruga (dob 07 November 1839; his mother was Maria Rosario Vieira Coracao Jesus (dob 14 May 1849). The bride was Ana Amor Divino (dob 22 August 1883) daughter of Joao Goulart, Junior (dob 10 March 1851) and Maria Conceicao (Machado) (dob 23 July 1850), All of the above were born in Lajes do Pico. The marriage itself took place on 23 February 1903 in Lajes do Pico at Santa Trindade. Let me know if you need grandparents of bride and/or groom because I have that information also.
