I also tried on FamilySearch and the only ones came out was 1920 and 1930. Their granddaughter was born in 1943 and she said they were already dead (as far as she can remember). That is why I tried ordering the death certificates (1930 - 1940) in the hopes I would find out their death date. We are assuming they are buried in Saint Mary's in Alameda County, California. Gail, My Godparents lived in San Leandro in 1940. I knew that for sure, but I couldn't find them on Ancestry in the 1940 census. I looked through all of San Leandro, page by page, and many of the streets weren't listed. I went to FamilySearch and found my Godparents there.
