A "natural" child is one where the parents were not married to each other bur neither parent was married to somebody else. There was no adultery involved, only two people coming together without benefit of clergy. In other words, they were free to marry each other if they so desired. An illigitimat child is one where the parents were not married to each other, nor could they be, since one or both were already married to somebody else. That is my understanding.
