Yes the line of Miguel do Monte is problematic. You may be able to resolve
it by looking for some obitos and marriages. In fact, I have fifteen
children from 1745 to 1775, for Miguel and Teresa, so this may be another
Miguel do Monte. But the plot thickens: I am attaching the link to the
baptism of Rosa Pimentel in 1799. I chose this record because I knew this
period would list the grandparents. The grandparents of Rosa Pimentel filha
de Jose Furtado (born Sept 30 1767) and Antonia de Pimentel are clearly
recorded as Miguel do Monte and Theresa Furtada. This is 23 years after
they married. I suggest looking circa 1754-1762 forward for another Miguel
do Monte, who is probably the son of MIguel and his second wife, Maria da
Costa, born April 30, 1734 in Achada. If there is a second Miguel Monte, he
may have married in Achadinha, where his father and grandparents are from.
