Eric Edgar: You deserve congratulations for all your detective work!  
Impressive.


Aaron: according to the 1930 census form attached to Eric Edgar's first 
post on October 5th, Joe and Mary Cotta both immigrated in 1901.   They 
also married in (Oct.) 1901.  Either they had a relatively brief courtship, 
or they knew one another before they left the islands.
