No, I believe these are different Alexanders ... I'm guessing this is my Alex's godfather, Alexander S Borba, living in the East Bay ... I actually requested and received their marriage certificate - will look for that and will scan it to review again.
Interestingly enough, also, there was an Edward Souza born to a Mary Souza (formerly Rose) in Alameda on 16 Oct 1908, one year before my grandfather's birth. My grandfather's social security info shows his birth as 21 Oct 1909 ... so maybe Godfather has an Edward Souza, and a year later, godson has an Edward Souza?
