You need to think in Hebrew, not English. What is "mighty, large,  
strong"? In Hebrew GODEL is 'greatness, extensive, sizable', and we  
also have GADIYL, 'fringe, tassel', (Deut. 22:12), and the new  
AGUDAL, 'thumb'. Slightly mutated GODEL becomes כותל KOTEL, 'wall'.
