That's correct Susan. But, also true is that a bahai could believe in a
teaching "in his/her way", some are wrong, some are right, some are a little
bit fanatic, others, too liberal, some of them made it public, some not. There
are things we may never know as there is no a living infallible interpreter.
For me, one of the unsolved issues is why we don't know the reason promised
by the Master (the reason becasue women can't be members of the House (UHJ)).
Altough the guardian seems to interpret that saying this will be permanent in
all bahá'í Dispensation, some bahá'ís with intellectual interests are expecting
the reason "clear as the midday sun".
What happen if this explict promise of the Master never happen?

Without knowing their motivations, it is hard to say. Some continue to
believe in reincarnation out of ignorance, others because they insist
on reading into the Writings what they want to see. That may not be
complete honesty, but don't we all do it to some extent?
