You may be thinking of the controversial Children of God movement (Moses Berg), which later changed its name to the Family of Love and, under both real *and* imagined threats, moved to Switzerland. Now, they are back in the U.S., but they are no more controversial in neo-evangelical Christian circles than Victor Paul Weirwille's Way Ministries International. I had some interesting discussions with them, when they were still the going by the name "Children of God," in Athens, Georgia (1976-1978). They used to sing a song called, "We are the 144,000." I am on their email list. >>6 Years today I left Iowa. And Kay died nearly 3 years ago. Time sure flies when >>you're not paying attention.<< She was a devoted believer. I remember her from my travel teaching trip to Montana. Mark A.
