Hi,
I've tried to start summarizing the discussions with Josselin on A.I.s
on the wiki, to provide a reference for everyone who would be interested
in understanding the concept without having to read all the discussions:
* Positioning: Target audience and demographics, references and
marketing study for the A.I. concept.
* Game overview: High-level overview - pitch, context and message.
* Gameplay: How it would work - game mechanisms, player
motivation.
As you will see, I've tried to start detailing and expanding it in a
more systematic way, from both a marketing and a gameplay perspective,
to start to see how we could plug it to the game, concretely.
I'd really like to have comments and ideas on those ones - please feel
free to edit the documents directly, at this stage it's a very early
draft.
Ideally, I think the next steps could be those ones:
1. Finish a round of comments/modifications on the mailing-list
2. Identify communities that could be interested by the game (and
with our target demographics), to contact them, discuss the
concept & get market/demography info
3. Get a professional GD to make a in-depth review & correction of
the game design
While we do this, we could start implementing it, small feature by small
feature, and integrate feedback as we get it, on an ongoing basis.
Xavier.
