Not a complaint about your or Glenn's post, but I just wanted to point out that my post differed from the rest in voicing no opinion on the electoral issue concerning which Pam (and the meeting minutes) opined. All I said was that proponents might wish to note that the initiative, as drafted, spectacularly fails to further proponents' goals, and in fact sabotages those goals. That observation can be vetted regardless of one's political or social inclinations. So many people -- Americans in particular -- go immediately into knee-jerk pushy advocacy mode whenever they hear the bareset mention of a contentious issue, that they might not recognise an analysis when they see one. (By contrast, I've always assumed my political prejudices, like most people's, lack general interest.) _______________________________________________ Basfa mailing list [email protected] http://lists.basfa.org/listinfo.cgi/basfa-basfa.org
