I've been through most of them, and I really like "Learning Perl".  It's got
a lot of examples and is pretty easy (sometimes fun) to read.  If you're not
sure how much you're going to use Perl, get that one.  If you're a coder and
need the definitive, get "Programming Perl", which is indeed the "bible" of
perl.

Or, if you don't like books laying around, get the Perl CD Bookshelf:

... which has the 5 major O'Reilly perl books on CD (formatted in HTML,
