I've been working on my english-kreyol dictionary file. Trying to
convert it for a palm dictionary program.
After just reading in one post that BBedit uses Unicode internally I had
a eureka moment. A Flash, as we used to say.
Loaded my eng-kreyol.csv into Mi to look at it.
Yup, the diacritical marks (french accents) are garbage in Mi, just like
they are to the guy at Beiks trying to make a .pdb out of them.
I am saving in BBedit as "western ISO Latin". Just tried saving as
"windows Latin", same thing.
I am thinking now of moving the file from this iBook over to the
Minintel with Parallels, cutting the screen display and pasting into
some windows editor.
Any other ideas?
