Hi All,

1: I will never buy any serious Mac software from the App Store! Why?
For my mom and dad, it might be a valid solution, but Apple's control of what
type of software I'm allowed to install on MY computer is not something I like
to give up! If you read the FAQ beneath, it's clear that no app on the store
can do ANY admin tasks at all!
I'm using BBEdit (& Textwrangler) for admin tasks about 90% of the time... !

2: I guess this also explain it spot on:

Q: Are there any differences between the App Store versions of your software
and the versions available directly from your web site?

A: In BBEdit and TextWrangler, authenticated saves (the ability to save changes
to files that you do not own) and the command-line tools are not available in
the App Store versions, in order to comply with Apple’s submission guidelines.
We are currently at work on a solution; if this affects you, please watch this
space for developments.
