Hello, Anyone aware of the legality of an off site data storage vendor withholding tapes from a company due to past due bills? In this case both parties are in the state of Massachusetts.
My company has "merged" with another and the accounts payable department is apperently having more problems doing their job than they usually do. However, I need the tapes back asap as my site is closing and must ship the tapes to another site ahead of the equipment from which the data was backed up. Any insight is much appreciated. And oh, if you are in the market for a data storage vendor, I have one I can suggest you avoid.
