It's not a local firm, but Western Telematic loaned us a beta of their 16-port serial console servers a few years ago; I guess it worked as a sales strategem, since we use five or six of them now. I'm planning to install one in each rack when we move to our new machine room. The last time I checked, the units were around $1300, much cheaper than Lightwave was.
