I have a solution for you:
1. Call EMC and get PowerPath-4, it has
basically the same functionality as
Veritas. Make sure to ask for competitive
bid. If you want, I can try to ship your phone
number to cold sales dept :-)
2. Better yet, call Veritas and tell them you
will call EMC.
Alternatively, don't talk to salesman, talk to
sales manager. Complain.
