Thanks! I don't want to change products at this point, since we've got 
three servers, a terabyte or so of storage, and many  hundreds  of volumes 
all set up,  deeply embedded into our core operations, and working 
perfectly. My todo list is long enough as it is.

But trying the sales manager is an excellent idea. It's not a huge amount 
of money, especially once we get out from under Veritas Backup,  but the 
principle of the thing is bugging me. I feel gouged.

On the plus side, it ain't broke, and it *has* run smoothly for several 
years. Most recently, our Clariion with vxfs and vxvm survived the fun 
episode we had a couple weeks ago where our circuit breakers *melted* after 
the A/C and A/C alarm both failed, taking everything down hard. (actually, 
so did the suns, but it was hottest back under the Clariion)
