But trying the sales manager is an excellent idea. It's not a huge amount of money, especially once we get out from under Veritas Backup, but the principle of the thing is bugging me. I feel gouged.
On the plus side, it ain't broke, and it *has* run smoothly for several years. Most recently, our Clariion with vxfs and vxvm survived the fun episode we had a couple weeks ago where our circuit breakers *melted* after the A/C and A/C alarm both failed, taking everything down hard. (actually, so did the suns, but it was hottest back under the Clariion)
