BES Monitoring service can be configured to send an alert if there aren't any messages sent or received over a period of time, amongst many other items.

I thought there was a way to tell from BES. I have a meeting with my monitoring team to discuss. It would be helpful if the BES send some error but as all BES services were running and server was pingable, I got no indication. This event was not picked up by our monitoring group so I am investigating. What is the best way to monitor for this? We use NETIQ agents which report into EMS. The monitoring group is asking me if we can do a port check for the Blackberry app? Can someone advise on this?
