In that method, it uses the same SRP, so that makes sense. If you are using the 2 SRP method, then you do not need to reactivate. If you do a cutover using the same SRP, you will.
I've called RIM Support 3 times and also have spoken with my RIM TAM. Everyone has assured me that the Two SRP, single DB upgrade from my 4.1.7 environment to 5.0.2 does not require reactivation by users.
