The thing is, the previous J904 betas have been fine - apart from a
transient problem
a few days ago.
Starting jconsole with admin privileges briefly shows a window which
then disappears.
You mentioned separately trying to load an empty profile - what does
that entail? How
is it different from Bill's suggestion, ie jconsole.exe -jprofile -
though he does describe
that as starting with an empty profile.
I was hoping for some comments from Chris or possibly Henry, but I
expect they're busy
with other stuff.

I've run into various parts of Windows failing in various ways (though
whether that was sabotage or design is not apparent to me... but it
has made me very cautious about upgrading to Windows 11. Today, for
example, the problem I have been fighting is mouse events not going to
the active window but instead going to some arbitrary different
window. With different kinds of mouse events going to different
windows.)
And, debugging these things is difficult -- I lack the tools. And,
support forums seem to also be populated mostly with people who lack
the tools.
Anyways... I would first focus on the problem of getting jconsole to run.
