I recommend getgtkbin be updated to fetch these binaries and libraries from 
        http://www.jsoftware.com/download/lib64/gtk64.tgz  
instead of the current sources.  Then we could elide step (G) from the list 
below.

I recommend this change be rolled back, based on my experience.  Either that, 
or change it so that gtksourceview is enabled by default, but disabled 
permanently if an error is encountered in initializing it (hey, aspect-oriented 
programming in J!).

Well, I did an install 'all' and I still have syntax highlighting.

BTW, earlier Chris wrote:

I don't know if this was intended to address issue (4: need to scroll 
manually), but I had also done an install 'all' after Chris wrote this, but 
before I tried installing your new .tgz, and it didn't resolve any of the 
issues I reported (i.e. gtksourceview was disabled but I still had to scroll 
manually).
